Help with a chemistry!!?

QUESTION: there is a beaker full of water, sand, salt, and metal scraps. the object is to get all of the separate things in their own beaker. Thing is, you can't use your hands to get them out. For instance, you can separate the sand and metal by poring the beaker into a strainer catching the water and salt ( which is salt water by now) in another container at the bottom. then use a magnet to sift out the metal and then put the sand and metal into separate containers. but how do i separate the salt and water??? what machine can i use???
