How can I make my MIL treat me as part of the family?

Its unfortunate that a grown woman acts this way. Odds are you will never get her to change. Her actions are hurtful and you have a right to feel slighted. Based on my own experience, you'll never get them to change their ways and probably won't ever get them to think about their actions. Try to let it go and be over it.
