MILITARY WIVES OR HUSBANDS?! ADVICE?!?

my husband is going to talk to a recruiter tomorrow about enlisting. is there anything we need to look out for (lies, etc) ?? He is leaning more towards joining air force (we heard its better for family and least to get deployed) he wants to be a aviator mechanic. (he's taken a test and qualifies) when it comes to signing anything what should he look out for? and when it comes to his training and stuff when can i go be with him on base etc? how does all that work?
