They will most likely do a sonogram to measure the baby and help determine if your dates are correct. You will have a lot of blood work and there will be a lot of questions asked of you, such as your family's medical history and the father's family medical history. If you are feeling anything that you are unsure of, ask about it, even if you feel silly asking because this is new to you. They will ask what your opinions are on optional genetic screening, so be prepared to answer those questions, whether or not you want to be tested for cystic fibrosis, or down's syndrome, etc. They are optional, but they can either make you worry, or ease your mind.
