Chemistry equation?

Hey everyone I do apologize for my stupidity about chemistry. Let me explain my situation. My daughter is a special needs student in high school. So here are the equations and if they are true. 1. H with plus at top (aq) +Cl with minus at top (aq) + Zn with 2plus at top (aq) + S with 2 minus at top(aq) arrow to right HgS(g) + Zn with 2 at top(aq)+ Cl with minusattop (aq) is a net ionic equation. 2. Zn with 2 plusat top is call a spectator ion with the same equation. Is 1 true and 2. false or is it the other way around or completely wrong. Thanks. I never took chemistry and feel like I'm too old to learn such a complicated subject. She is in inclusion and hopes to be able to attend a vocational school or even possible college. She needs to learn this stuff and have a tutor and I don't fit into this subject catagory. We her parents feel that if she were to have a good college education she will be able to live on her own after we are gone and are trying to help her in any way we can.
